The Feria de San Antonio, also known as the Feria Grande de Cádiz, is one of the most popular and emblematic festivals in Andalusia. It is held every year at the beginning of June in honour of San Antonio de Padua, patron saint of the city. For a week, Cádiz is transformed into a scene of joy, colour, music and tradition, offering a unique experience to its visitors.

Deep-rooted traditions
The San Antonio Fair has its origins in the 17th century, when a small pilgrimage was held in honour of the saint. Over time, the festival grew in popularity and became what we know today as the Feria Grande.
One of the most distinctive elements of the Fair are the ‘casetas’, spaces where family and friends gather to enjoy the music, dance and gastronomy of Cádiz. In these ‘casetas’ you can enjoy typical dishes such as fried fish, ‘chicharrón de Cádiz’ or shrimp omelette, accompanied by a refreshing ‘manzanilla’ or ‘fino’.
Music is another of the stars of the Feria. Sevillanas, rumbas, tangos and other flamenco rhythms fill the streets and casetas, creating a festive and contagious atmosphere. Dances, such as sevillanas or tanguillos, are an important part of the celebration and can be enjoyed in every corner of the Feria.
