The province of Cadiz, renowned for its rich flamenco tradition, becomes the epicenter of flamenco in autumn with the arrival of the third edition of the Bienal de Flamenco de Cadiz, Jerez and Los Puertos. This event, which runs from October 1 to November 30 in eight locations in the province, aims to pay tribute to the renowned Cadiz flamenco singer Juanito Villar.

The cultural heart of Cadiz beats to the rhythm of flamenco. This province is a land where flamenco is more than music and dance, it is an authentic way of life. In every corner of this region, one breathes the flamenco soul and the hearts of its inhabitants beat to the rhythm of flamenco. This passion is transmitted from generation to generation, forming an essential part of the cultural identity of the province.

The Flamenco Biennial of Cadiz, Jerez and Los Puertos perfectly embodies this passion and devotion. More than just a festival of music and dance, this event becomes the very essence of the flamenco soul of Cadiz. It is the moment when the beats, clapping and wailing of cante jondo rise up in a passionate clamor that echoes throughout the province.

The Bienal de Flamenco Cádiz, Jerez y Los Puertos was born in 2019 under the artistic direction of Mario González, programmer of the emblematic Guarida del Ángel in Jerez de la Frontera. This space has always stood out for its commitment to orthodox flamenco, and the Biennial has maintained that essence since its inception, presenting renowned artists such as Rancapino, Paco Cepero and Vicente Soto Sordera.

In its third edition, the Bienal de Flamenco Cádiz, Jerez y Los Puertos will be held in the towns of Cádiz, Jerez, Sanlúcar, San Fernando, Puerto Real, El Puerto de Santa María, Chiclana and Algeciras. In addition to the exciting flamenco shows, the event will feature a variety of parallel activities such as workshops, conferences, masterclasses and exhibitions.

From singing recitals by renowned artists such as Carmen de la Jara to dance shows such as 'Alma' by David Nieto and Paula Sierra, this event offers a diverse and exciting experience for flamenco lovers.

The Biennial's success is largely due to the support of a wide range of institutions and communities.
